Ross James is an American guitarist, pedal steel player and singer-songwriter who works in the Grateful Dead extended family. He joined Phil Lesh's circle in 2010, became a core member of the Terrapin Family Band and held a production role at Lesh's San Rafael, California venue Terrapin Crossroads, and he co-leads the psychedelic country-rock band Cosmic Twang with guitarist Scott Law.
