Carl Jackson is an American bluegrass and country musician, singer-songwriter and producer from Louisville, Mississippi, who began performing professionally at 14 with Jim and Jesse and the Virginia Boys and spent 12 years in Glen Campbell's band. A banjo, guitar and mandolin player, he has written songs recorded by Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton and Trisha Yearwood and won Grammy Awards in 1991 and 2003.
